Chapter 12: Making a Family Tree |
In this chapter you were introduced to many different kinds
of families. We do not always think about it, but one of the
most powerful agents of socialization in a person's life is
his or her family. Invariably, the better you understand your
family, the better you will understand yourself.
Create a family tree. Start by going online to research genealogy
at the Beginner's Guide to Family History Research
at http://www.arkansasresearch.com/guide.html
Then consult with your parents and other family members, tracing
the generations of your family as far back as possible. Neatly
transfer your family tree to poster board and present it to
the class.
